Misjonshuset wishes to be "an including and evangelizing Christian fellowship, where people meet Jesus Christ and receive help to live a Christian life."Our congregation belongs to the Norwegian Lutheran Mission, whose motto is "The World for Christ". We believe that He, who create the world, who carried its sin and misery to the cross, who will create a new heaven and a new earth – He is worth believing in, and He is the only hope for our world.
We meet at our premises in the centre of Kristiansand, in Kristian IV’s gate 35, near the junction with Kirkegata. (For directions, see aerial photo here or an outline map here.)
It is usually not very difficult to find parking along the street outside our premises. We also have access to some parking lots in our basement, though this is primarily not during working hours.
Our main gathering every week is Sunday mornings 11am, when we have something to offer for all age groups. There is a Sunday School class for children aged 5-10 and 11-15, and also a crèche for the youngest children. Welcome to a prayer meeting at 10.30am. Though the service is in Norwegian, we offer simultaneous translation to English at all our Sunday morning meetings. We always serve a cup of coffee or tea after the service, when we encourage people to stop for a chat before going home. You are most welcome to join us!
